GAINESVILLE, TX – North Texas Medical Center (NTMC) is pleased to announce the hiring of Matilin Rigsby as the new Administrative Coordinator – Projects, Grants, and Charitable Initiatives. Rigsby brings a wealth of experience in data analysis, policy development, and grant coordination to her new role, which will be instrumental in advancing NTMC’s strategic initiatives and community impact.
Prior to her full-time hiring into this position, Ms. Rigsby served as an Epidemiologist at Southwest Transplant Alliance. In this capacity, she conducted vital organ donation research, utilizing epidemiological and statistical methods and software to analyze available data, identify factors influencing organ donation rates, and pinpoint key performance indicators for quality improvement. She was also responsible for developing policy aimed at improving the efficiency of the kidney allocation program.
Rigsby is no stranger to NTMC, having served part-time as the Grant Coordinator for the medical center for the previous six months. During that time, she proved her value by submitting for more than $2 million in grants. In the past month, NTMC has begun to see the fruits of her labor by being awarded $72,681 for Pediatric Telemedicine and $250,000 for debt reduction.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Matilin Rigsby to our team in this crucial role on a full-time basis,” said NTMC CEO Tom Sledge. “Her success in securing resources is vital to the medical center’s growth and ability to serve North Texas. In addition to finding the funds, she will play a crucial role in the implementation of the projects the grants were obtained for. Not only will she be helping NTMC source much needed resources, she will also be assisting other Community Hospital Corporation hospitals in the same capacity. I am excited to see her grow in this role.”
Rigsby is a Gainesville native and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health as well as a Master’s of Public Health in Epidemiology. She will be receiving her Doctor of Health Science degree from Liberty University this summer.
