GAINESVILLE, Texas – North Texas Medical Center was recently named a Center of Excellence in Nursing by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ).

This marks the first time in the hospital’s history it has received this distinction. NTMC is also the first acute-care hospital managed by Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) to obtain this designation.

“From the moment CHC took over management responsibility of North Texas Medical Center almost seven years ago, our mission has been to provide exceptional, patient-centered care,” NTMC CEO Tom Sledge said. “Achieving the Nursing Center of Excellence designation is another indicator that we are fulfilling that mission. Our clinical team has worked tirelessly to provide care worthy of this designation and I am extremely proud of them and the work they do.”
