GAINESVILLE, TX – North Texas Medical Center will welcome a new Internal Medicine doctor to its medical staff. Major Cedric L. Buckley, DO will join NTMC beginning June 15.
Dr. Buckley is a board-certified Internal Medicine doctor who comes to NTMC after serving the US Army at multiple medical facilities in Hawaii. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Nutritional Studies before attending medical school at Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash. He has served as a Staff Internist at military medical facilities in both Kentucky and Hawaii. He is a member of the American College of Physicians.
“Having just finished up serving in the Army for the last seven years, I began searching for a job. My wife and I were drawn to the North Texas and Southern Oklahoma area,” Dr. Buckley said. “We are excited to call North Texas home and I’m looking forward to caring for the medical needs of those living in our community.”
Dr. Buckley will see patients with conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, chronic lung disease, obesity and all things adult medicine.

Dr. Buckley will see patients at the NTMC Health Complete Care Clinic at 1902 Hospital Blvd., in Gainesville, joining Dr. Elizabeth Newman (Family Medicine/Obstetrics), Dr. Tracy Wang (Pediatrics) and Dr. Zaira Jorai-Khan (Obstetrics/Gynecology).
Dr. Buckley and his wife, Michelle, are the parents of four young boys.
