GAINESVILLE, TX – A familiar face is returning to North Texas Medical Center as the hospital’s newest general surgeon.
Dr. Leah Dill, who worked at NTMC from 2017-2022, has joined Dr. Bill Khaira at the NTMC Health Surgical Specialists of North Texas clinic located on 1627 N. Grand Avenue in Gainesville.
Dr. Dill is Board Certified in General Surgery with experience at several medical facilities including NTMC, Total Wellness and Bariatrics, Texas Bariatric Specialists, Ihde Surgical Group and Weatherford Regional Medical Center.
She is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a B.S. Degree in Biology. She attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. She interned at Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas in Fort Worth and Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla., where she also completed her residency.
“NTMC is excited to have Dr. Dill and her unique surgical skill set back at North Texas Medical Center,” NTMC CEO Tom Sledge said. “She will serve as the perfect compliment to the services offered by Dr. Bill Khaira.”
Dr. Dill’s area of expertise include advanced laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, upper and lower endoscopy, hernia repair, colon resection, gallbladder surgery, medical weight loss therapy and diet/lifestyle counseling.
“I’m excited to be back at NTMC,” Dr. Dill said. “It has been great reconnecting with prior staff members and faculty, along with seeing a few of my former patients. It feels like I never left. It has been an easy transition back for me.”
